At Vought Water Gardens we have a commitment to giving back to the community. We actively participate in several programs designed to educate others about the water garden industry and provide hands-on learning opportunities for enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels.
North American Water Garden Society
We are a member of NAWGS, the North American Water Garden Society. NAWGS is an organization of pond lovers dedicated to the enjoyment, education, promotion and protection of the water garden hobby.
Our affiliation with NAWGS enables us to organize events such as Ponds for Kids and annual Parade of Ponds events.

Ponds for Kids
With Ponds for Kids, we partner with local schools and other learning institutions to provide a hands-on learning environment for children to experience the planning and building of a water feature.

Parade of Ponds
Each year, we organize a Parade of Ponds to provide a tour of local water features that bring people into the beautiful (and often private) world of water gardens; showcasing the many forms that water gardens can take – ponds, waterfalls, streams, containers, and fountains. And most fun of all, people meet enthusiastic water garden lovers and catch the water garden bug themselves. It’s contagious!

Build-A-Pond Days
Build-A-Pond (BAP) days are one-day events where attendees learn to build a water feature from the ground up. Build-A-Pond days are available to both home owners that want to be do-it-yourselfers and for contractors to advance their skills.

Water Garden Excellence
We participate in the Water Garden Excellence (WGE) program developed by Aquascape which has used Vought Water Gardens as a model for success with this program.
Through Water Garden Excellence, we partner with local retailers to provide our customers with a personal resource in their area to help them experience the water gardening hobby to its fullest.
Our retail partners are an excellent resource for information as well as products that will make your new water feature all that you envision it to be.
